To provide charitable programs and to raise funds that benefit citizens in and abroad our community; and to assist other charities that have similar goals and objectives.

Who We Are

The West Vancouver Fire Fighters Charitable Society is dedicated to supporting our community through fundraising efforts. Established on February 1, 2005, we proudly direct over 95% of the generous donations received directly to individuals and organizations in need, enriching countless lives. Since inception, we have been able to donate over $90,000.

Our work is accomplished primarily through the volunteer efforts of our off-duty members. As described in our Constitution, the purposes of the Society are to operate as a charitable organization and:

a) promote education by providing scholarships, bursaries or other forms of financial assistance;

b) promote the welfare of persons in financial need or distress;

c) provide funds for the purchase of medical equipment for persons who are sick.

Where the Donations Go

Your donations make a significant impact by supporting various vital organizations in our community. Funds allocated to The Lookout Society, the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, and Family Services of the North Shore, among others. They also benefit children at the Children's hospital, support Muscular Dystrophy Canada, and assist programs like the Youth Crisis Outreach Program. Additionally, your generosity helps local schools, community initiatives, vital health foundations that strive to make a difference in the lives of many.
